Today, the IPS group is Germany's largest independent national distributor in the publishing industry and the largest importer of press products in Italy.

The road to success

1985	Founding of the Intercontinental Press Services GmbH (Ltd) in Cologne.
1987	Founding of the IPS Pressevertrieb GmbH (Press Distribution Ltd) as a service provider for retailers.
1997	Founding of the IPS Datenservice GmbH (Data Service Ltd) as service provider for Subscription service and address management.
2001	Founding of the Litatio AG as a software house for publishing and IT process management.
2006	Takeover of the PMV Print Medien Vertrieb GmbH (Print Media Distribution Ltd) and PMV International GmbH (Ltd).
2007	Founding of the IPS Logistik GmbH (Logistic Ltd).
2011	Majority share in Messinter S.p.A. (Milan), Italy's largest importer of newspapers and books.
2012	100 percent acquisition of Messinter by the IPS group.
2012	Founded as a joint venture between the Publisher Service IPS group (Meckenheim) and Miller Newsprint (Malta).The company digitally prints newspapers at its sites in Rome and Milan.
2013	100 percent acqusition of Newsprint by the IPS group
2015	Talke over of all press products of W.E. Saarbach GmbH, subsidiary of DPV Deutscher Pressevertrieb GmbH, Hamburg
